At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Build trust quickly by strengthening relationships, adopting key leadership mindset shifts, and creating an culture of psychological safety where all nurses feel supported, safe, and valued.
- Lead meaningful conversations by using the COACH鈩� framework to understand what drives each team member, navigate challenges, and communicate directly and kindly.
- Use coaching to improve retention by addressing burnout, increasing engagement, and helping nurses build sustainable, long-term careers.
- Apply proven strategies that support staff by recognizing their contributions and creating space to talk through challenging experiences, strengthening resilience and commitment.
To successfully complete this program and receive Contact Hours, participants must register for the program, participate in the program and submit a complete evaluation.

This foundational course helps leaders build trust quickly by understanding what drives nurse engagement and retention. Participants will develop a coaching mindset
by strengthening listening skills, communicating clearly and directly, and focusing
on what matters most to each team member.
Leaders will learn how to create a culture of psychological safety where nurses
feel comfortable speaking up, asking for support, and being themselves at work.
By better understanding each individual鈥檚 values and motivations, leaders will be
able to build stronger relationships, increase confidence, and set the foundation
for a more engaged and supported team.
This course helps leaders use coaching as a daily practice to improve retention and strengthen their teams. Participants will learn how to bring coaching into everyday leadership moments to support nurses through challenges, reduce burnout, and increase engagement.
Leaders will focus on helping nurses build sustainable careers by supporting healthy boundaries, recognizing contributions, and creating space for honest conversations. By consistently applying these skills, leaders will build stronger relationships, improve team stability, and keep nurses engaged in the profession.
This course focuses on helping leaders lead meaningful conversations that drive engagement and accountability. Participants will apply the COACH鈩� framework to better understand what matters most to each team member and how to respond in the moment.
Leaders will practice handling real-world situations, such as burnout and work-life challenges, using direct and kind communication. By learning how to ask better questions and listen more effectively, leaders will be able to guide conversations that build trust, support growth, and lead to better outcomes.

Program Overview
Transform the newly licensed nurse experience from one of survival to one of professional fulfillment by equipping clinical leaders with practical coaching skills that drive retention. Through a focused progression鈥擝uild Trust Fast, Coach What Matters, and Coach to Retain鈥攖his program prepares leaders to strengthen relationships, lead meaningful conversations, and create the conditions that keep nurses engaged and committed to the profession.
Leaders will learn to foster a culture of belonging by building trust quickly, and creating psychologically safe environments where all nurses, especially those from underrepresented groups, feel supported and valued. By focusing on what matters most in everyday interactions, leaders will develop the ability to navigate complex situations, recognize and respond to emotional needs, and hold purposeful conversations that drive growth and accountability.
As leaders embed coaching into their daily practice, they will support nurses in shaping sustainable careers by helping them manage competing demands, set boundaries, and create the flexibility needed to thrive. The result is stronger engagement, greater resilience, and a more stable, committed clinical workforce.
