Darrel Taylor, LICSW, is a part-time faculty member at the Boston College School of Social Work, where he also earned his MSW. Darrel teaches History of Activism in Black Communities, bringing a deep commitment to social justice and community empowerment into the classroom.
Darrel works full-time at the Department of Veterans Affairs, where he previously supported unhoused veterans through the HUD–VASH partnership to secure permanent housing. He has since transitioned into a role in the methadone clinic, providing individual and group therapy as well as comprehensive case management services.
Before entering the field of social work, Darrel served in the U.S. Army as a human resources sergeant with the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
