Sarah Bookbinder

Sarah joined Boston College Law School in the spring of 2023. Previously she worked in the Professional and Career Development Office at Suffolk University Law School for nearly nine years.Ìý As Director of Public Service Advising and Pro Bono Programs at Suffolk, Sarah was responsible for all public interest law advising, public interest employer relations, student programming, and pro bono opportunities.Ìý Sarah also advised students and alumni interested in a broad range of practice areas, taught classes on professional development topics, directed the summer public interest fellowship program, and coordinated the office's diversity and inclusion efforts.ÌýÌýWhile at Suffolk, Sarah received the Professional Excellence Award from the Black Law Students Association for her exceptional commitment to supporting law students in their professional development. She also served on the National Advisory Committee for Equal Justice Works, and the Public Service Section of the National Association of Legal Professionals.Ìý

Prior to moving into higher education, Sarah was an Assistant Attorney General in the Public Integrity Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.Ìý In this role Sarah investigated and prosecuted cases of public corruption and fraud and completed a six-month rotation as a Special Assistant District Attorney in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.ÌýÌýBefore joining the Attorney General’s Office, Sarah was an Equal Justice Works Fellow for two years at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in Washington, D.C.Ìý She also clerked for the Honorable John T. Nixon in the United States District Court in Nashville, Tennessee. Ìý Between college and law school Sarah worked for two years investigating police misconduct for the Civilian Complaint Review Board in New York City.Ìý Sarah is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, and has a B.A. from Barnard College.

Before becoming Interim Assistant Dean, Doug served as Director of Recruitment and Employer Outreach, where he was responsible for interfacing with employers, Doug has been advising law students and alumni on their career development and job search processes for more than nine years. Prior to joining ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app Law, he worked in the Office of Career Development and Public Service at Boston University School of Law and in the Office of Professional and Career Development at Suffolk University Law School. As a practicing attorney, Doug’s work as an associate at a mid-sized firm was focused in the areas of health care, corporate and creditors’ rights law. Doug graduated cum laude from Miami University and received his JD, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law.

Chris Teague

Chris has over twenty years of experience working in the legal field as a judicial law clerk, practicing attorney in both the private and public sectors, and career advisor.Ìý At ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app Law, Chris oversees JD advising, co-chairs the Judicial Clerkship Committee, and assists students with their job searches, focusing on judicial clerkships and careers in criminal law.Ìý He has held several leadership roles in NALP, the Massachusetts Legal Recruitment Association, and the Massachusetts Law School Consortium, and he has presented at numerous NALP annual conferences on topics pertaining to criminal law careers and interviewing skills, social media and technology, and professionalism training.Ìý Earlier in his career, Chris practiced criminal law, both as an Assistant District Attorney in Boston and as a defense attorney.Ìý He is a graduate of Connecticut College and Northeastern University School of Law.

Michelle Grossfield

Public Interest and Pro Bono Program Director

Michelle brings a decade of career services experience directing our public sector advising and programming, leading the law school's Pro Bono Program and administering the Public Service Scholarship Program.Ìý She serves as Co-Chair of the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app Law Public Service Committee that is tasked with selecting the school's Public Service Scholars, making awards for the Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) to alumni in public service, and awarding other public service grants, including the school's postgraduate public service fellowships. She helps to support public interest students on campus through a wide range of initiatives and works closely with student organizations, including the Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) and students participating in the pro bono spring break trips. She also serves as the national Chair of the PSJD Advisory Group, a consortium of law schools and public interest employers. Michelle began her public interest career as a Trial Attorney in the Children and Family Law Division of the Committee for Public Counsel Services, advocating on behalf of children and parents in child abuse and neglect proceedings.Ìý She graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 2006 and received her bachelor's degree from Brandeis University.Ìý

Naomi is an experienced law school career advisor, who most recently served as an Assistant Director in the Center for Co-op and Career Development at Northeastern University School of Law, advising students interested in private sector opportunities with law firms, in-house counsel, and health law careers.Ìý Previously, Naomi spent nine years as Legal Counsel at Mass General Brigham (formerly Partners HealthCare), where she focused on employment and patient care matters and supervised the law students who participated in the OGC’s summer internship program.Ìý Naomi began her legal career in Boston as a Litigation Associate at Choate, Hall & Stewart.Ìý Naomi received her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Rochester and her J.D., with Honors, from George Washington University Law School.Ìý

Amy brings a wide range of experience to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app Law’s Career Services Office. She started her career as a business associate at Foley Hoag LLP, served as Associate General Counsel at Thermo Electron Corporation (now Thermo Fisher Scientific), and worked as both a career advisor and legal writing and research instructor at Suffolk University Law School. She also spent nine years as a gallery instructor at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Amy received her B.A.,Ìýmagna cum laude, from Yale University and her J.D.,Ìýcum laude, from Harvard Law School.

Prior to joining ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app law school as a career advisor, Jill spent 13 years as an immigration attorney at Catholic Charities Refugee and Immigration Services. In that capacity, she provided direct representation to low-income clients in a wide range of family- and humanitarian-based cases, as well as representation in immigration court. Jill also held a Federal District Court clerkship from 2006-2008. Jill received her B.A. from Harvard College, and her JD from Harvard Law School.

Taisha brings a wide range of experience to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app Law’s Career Services Office. She began her career as a real estate associate, representing nonprofit and mission-driven organizations on affordable housing and community development transactions at both small firms and an international law firm. She later served as the Firmwide Diversity Legal Recruiting Specialist at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she provided strategic support to campus recruiting and early-career attorney hiring across the firm’s U.S. offices. In addition, Taisha is a legal research and writing instructor through the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts’s Reginald C. Lindsay Fellowship. She received her B.A.,Ìýcum laude, from Brandeis University and her J.D. from Boston College Law School.
