Lucy Xie, a doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at the Boston College Lynch School of Education and Human Development, has been named a recipient of the highly competitive . This one-year fellowship selects a cohort of emerging scholars committed to serving youth after graduation in fields of social work, mental health counseling, school psychology, or counseling psychology.
Fellows receive a $10,000 stipend, personalized mentorship from experienced behavioral health providers, and access to remote seminars as well as additional networking and professional development opportunities.聽
Xie, whose work centers on supporting queer and immigrant children and families, expressed gratitude for the recognition and the opportunity to grow in the field:
