We are a distinct academic community drawn together around a shared purpose of transforming society to be ecologically regenerative, socially just, and economically secure.听
Solving the environmental challenges we face in the 21st century鈥攃limate change, freshwater scarcity, environmental pollution, biodiversity loss, food insecurity鈥攔equires a holistic approach, characterized by collaboration and integration across the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities.听The research component of the Environmental Studies Program embodies an active learning model that bridges a sustainability curriculum in the classroom with sustainability action on campus and in the community.
Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences offering a听major听(B.A.) and a听minor.听
